Standard contracts frequently appear in a typed form, prepared in advance by one party. This party, usually the supplier of services or commodities, fixes the terms of the contract, while the other party, the customer, can only accept fully the offer embodied in the typed form, or reject it. As the Englishman would say: he may "take it or leave it."
